The Town of Nantucket is a 50 square mile island located in Nantucket Sound waters and was founded in 1671.
Those who visit should do excellent preparing so they will make it on time for the different festivals that occur each month during the summer and all year round. The Daffodil Festival takes place in April. In May there is a Wine Festival followed by the Film Festival that occurs in June. During the month of August the Sand Castle & Sculpture Day takes place.
All of these festivals are fun for children and/ or adults. All year round the community has something for everyone in Nantucket. Come join us for some fun!

Your scenic 4 mile Run or Walk begins at Cisco Brewery and runs on a mostly flat course with moderate grades. Runners will pass by Bartlett Farm, Miacoment pond, and the Miacoment Golf Course before heading back to Cisco Brewery.
Something for the serious and something for the silly: Come to run the beautiful 4 mile course along Miacomet pond OR come dressed in holiday flair to celebrate St. Patty's Day ~ prizes will be awarded for both categories!

A nature walk for families to Gibbs Pond. We will hike the 1.6 mile round trip from Altar Rock while taking in the Moors. Meet at the Maria Mitchell Association (4 Vestal St.) at 1:30PM to car pool out to the site or meet at the navigation tower by Altar Rock at 2PM.
